Some exciting, some not so…
The not so exciting news first – I am trying out a new format for my newsletters. You may have gotten some kind of email to that effect. Please be patient while I adjust to this new app. I pride myself in being able to figure out most IT stuff, but sometimes that pride is ill placed…and as you know, pride goeth before the fall. Please be patient.
Now for the exciting news!
I am officially a published author! I collaborated on a book with eight other women to complete Patience – Trusting God’s Timing in Every Season. The book was published by Hope*Books and was launched May 18. It was a great day of celebration in Matthews, NC. The Hope*Books staff were great in making us feel like we actually accomplished something.
The book is one in a series of books on the fruit of the Spirit. Each contributing author wrote a story about how God taught the lesson of patience in their life. I wrote about a number of incidents in my life to illustrate how I learned that through with the power of the Holy Spirit we can exude patience when faced with difficult people or difficult circumstances. It is when we are filled with the Holy Spirit that we can handle the most difficult situations. God sends things that seem impossible to bear, but as we will rely on Him any victory belongs to Him.
The book is available on Amazon in all formats or wherever books are sold. Please check it out.
The next MOST AMAZING NEWS! I HAVE SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR MY NOVEL The Long Trek! According to the people at Illumify Media in Littleton, CO, we should have the book published by a year from now. It is taking that long only because I still have personal editing to do before I turn it over to the copyeditor. They will work with me to help me stay on course and to make it the best book we can possibly make it.
All glory goes to God! I can’t believe all this is happening at one time. God has led me to people who can be the most encouragement in getting these projects done. Hope*Books was the right place for that collaborative book. Now, I believe Illumify Media is the right place for the novel.
In another post, I will be sending a link to the “Livestream” that we did at Hope*Books for the book launch. Watch it and let me know what you think.
In the meantime, my motto is “the journey never ends…” One leg of my journey may be coming to an end, but there is so much more to come. It never ends until we reach our heavenly home.
