The Long Trek

A story about a family walking alone from Danzig, Prussia, to Chortiza, Southern Russia, in the early 1800’s. Napoleon and his soldiers are dominating the countryside. Gypsies are roaming by clans from place to place. The main character, Gertie, has a lot to process in dealing with people outside her comfortable Mennonite community and learning to forgive people withiin her home community. Her desire to reflect the love of Christ puts a challenging perspective on her encounters with other people.

Hello,

I’m Marilynn

God knew me before the world was even created. He planned for me and created me in my mother’s womb. He caused many experiences, past and present, to weave into my life. I can trace my roots as far back as the Mennonites in the Reformation. This rich history makes me the person I am today. And God is still working on me. He will not give up teaching me new things until I see Him in glory.

I invite you to join me on this journey of development.
